Quarterly Report | TRACKING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTED | Oct - Dec 2021

A report on Sample Transport System activities in the West Region under the CBCHS HIV Free West Region Project.

Executive Summary

CRIHSS Foundation joined the CBCHS HIV Free West Region Team to

strengthen the sample transport system to expedite and uphold quality

service delivery within the PLHIV community in the West region.

Within the previous quarter, CF trained and equipped 13 transport agents for

efficient and timely service delivery. From October to December 2021,

we regularly transported VL (5954) and EID (195) samples from 24 PEPFAR supported health facilities, and reported weekly and monthly on the latter. We documented all challenges and initiated corrective actions and follow up with sites within the framework to ensure proper running of the program.

During this time we continue to leverage our Business Process Management and Continuous Improvement (BPMCI) Model to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of our STS services; we develop tools for real time monitoring of our STS Service delivery and conducted site visits to evaluate the use of the STS logbooks and strengthen the data management systems at the health facilities.

The CF tracking system was deployed to the health facilities of 05 selected health districts – Mifi, Kouoptamo, Bafang, Galim and Mbouda; and the rolling of the CF

tracking system to the rest of the health facilities and health districts is programmed in the next quarter.

The activities in this quarter were focused on deployment of the real-time sample tracking system, onsite visits for DQA exercise to assess the performance of our STS services.
